About Our Hire Hub
Our Southampton Hire Hub was opened in May 2022, further enhancing the FTH mantra of providing ‘Quality Equipment, Always In Stock’ for contractors, tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts in Southampton, Bournemouth, Eastleigh, Winchester, Portsmouth, Salisbury and other local areas within Hampshire and Dorset.
This is to support existing customers with their projects in the region, but also provide new customers with access to one of the youngest plant hire fleets in the UK. We have a huge range of tools, landscaping and professional groundcare equipment, survey equipment, and solutions for event hire with utility vehicles, powered access and welfare facilities. Located on the Marchwood Industrial Estate, the Hire Hub is just a few minutes drive from the A271 and within easy reach of the M27/M3 motorway.

Hugh McCormack - Depot Manager
Hugh is two and a half years into his role as Hire Hub Manager, joining the company in early 2022, He is doing a fantastic job, not only in growing the business but creating a fantastic hub team. The hire industry is no stranger to Hugh, making it a long-term career from the age of nineteen! He takes immense pride in his role, which is evident when dealing with and supporting his customers.
Neil Brandwood - Hire Controller
Neil joined the business in June 2024, having previously spent 20+ years in the hire industry, working in Hire Controller and Branch Manager roles. Neil brings a wealth of experience to the business, with a key focus on customer service and team ethics. He always goes above and beyond.
Chloe Roe - Hire Controller
Chloe has been with FTH since May 2023 and she is an integral part of the team in Southampton, going from strength to strength within her role. Chloe is a natural when it comes to building customer relationships and will always go out her way to offer support. She is ready to take on new challenges with a can-do attitude.
Paul Courtney - Hire Controller
Before moving into the hire industry, Paul started his career in the Building Merchant industry. Paul has 23+ years dealing with a wide range of customers within the construction industry. In addition to his day to day hire desk duties, Paul also manages our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring customers receive the best service and equipment deliveries which are managed in line with customer expectations.
Doug Poole - Regional Business Development Manager
Doug has been with FTH for just over 6 years and has been part of the team that has seen the business grow from 4 depots to 10 depots with a continued growth trajectory. He has a wealth of product knowledge and is always on hand to discuss with our clients their hire requirements. He will always propose a suitable and cost effective solution for all projects. Shaun Hockley - Regional Business Development Manager
Having recently joined our Southampton Hire Hub in August 2024, Shaun is our newest member of the team. He brings a wealth of knowledge, having been in the industry for 16 years. Being part of FTH Hire Group, customers in Southampton now have access to one of the youngest plant hire fleets in the UK. Including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, rollers, crushers, bowsers and trailers. With over 11,000 items across the entire range, our tools alone include site welfare, fencing and barriers, as well as material lifts and hoists, concreting and compaction tools, breakers, drills, saws, fixing nailers, pumps, generators, heating, lighting & power accessories, plus much more. This is in addition to a range of powered access boom and scissor lifts and waste management, professional groundcare and landscaping solutions.
